CAS
Calibrated airspeed
Close Air Support. An air mission that provides support in close proximity to ground troops, usually directed by an Air Liaison Officer and/or Forward Air Controller.
The indicated airspeed of an aircraft, corrected for position and instrument error. Calibrated airspeed is equal to true airspeed in standard atmosphere at sea level.
